Questions, answered
What is a Japanese manicure?
It's a natural-nail treatment that uses a keratin-rich paste and a fine mineral powder, buffed into the nail plate to seal and strengthen it. The result is a glossy, healthy-looking shine with no polish, no gel and no UV lamp - the shine comes from the nail itself.
How long does the shine last?
Around two weeks, and it fades gradually rather than chipping. Because it conditions the nail as it goes, many clients book a short course to genuinely improve weak or peeling nails over time.
Is it right for damaged or bitten nails?
Yes - it's one of the gentlest ways to rehabilitate bitten, ridged or peeling nails, and there's no acetone or filing away of the natural nail. If you'd like added strength or length, we'll suggest Biab or a gel option instead.
